Ryan's trip to Singapore

Ryan's trip to Singapore

01 Dec 2017 Ryan Irvine Experiences, Travel Stories

I was recently invited on a five day Singapore Famil to learn first-hand about the city and experience the Singapore Stopover Packages on offer from Singapore Airlines.

Singapore is one of the world’s major commercial hubs and one of the most culturally diverse cities in Asia. Singapore is also a shopper’s paradise with its abundant malls and trendy markets. The city's very easy to use and inexpensive MRT rail system makes getting around super easy.We also used the Hop on Hop off buses, which have the added benefit of commentary as you go.

Highlights included a ride on the Singapore Flyer, the Singapore Zoo Night Safari, Gardens by the Bay, a cable car ride to Sentosa Island and its new Mega Adventure Park which has an amazing zip line, the Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom, Skyline Luge and Madame Tussauds. My favourite thing to do was indulging in the culinary delights with a range of cuisine from local to international dishes.

The stunning Gardens by the Bay is not to be missed with its breathtaking waterfront views, the massive Supertrees, the Vertical Gardens and the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. The night light show at the Gardens on the Bay is at the top of my highlight list, with a spectacular show and atmosphere suitable for all ages.

I particularly enjoyed Singapore’s fantastic local bars and night life. The Dallas Restaurant & Bar at the bottom of the Marina Bay Sands became our 'local' and is worth checking out!
